I wanted to share this article that one of our clients wrote because I can really relate to it. Please let me know your thoughts:

The world is in a kind of turmoil at present and it is
being felt by almost everyone.  There is
mass discontent, feelings of being out of control and we are inundated with obligations.
There is a desire to gain more materially but a realization that this isn’t
bringing happiness. A culture of fear teaches us constantly about loss, pain
and death. Escapism seems to be the norm whether it is through drugs, drink or
technology. When it comes to education, health or the monetary system, society
appears to be breaking down. There are rules and laws that we can’t keep up
with and a general lack of faith in politics. A cycle of destruction says we
must go to work, go home, spend the money we’ve earnt trying to forget work and
then go to work and start the whole process again. Burn-out syndrome is leading
to bad health and dis-ease and in the words of the great Pink Floyd, many
people are ‘…..hangin’ on in quiet desperation…..’

But despite all of these challenges – all is not

The world is undergoing a massive change at the
moment. Though they may not be able to express it, just about everyone is feeling
it in different ways. Along with the general feelings of negativity there is
also an air of waiting. People are not happy and they are starting to question
the old ways of doing things. A new mindset is gradually entering into the
collective consciousness and this progressive thinking must replace the
regressive thinking that we have been living with. As the saying goes ‘You
cannot do the same thing over and over and expect a different result’. Three
things need to change to move into this next exciting phase of Humanity’s evolution:

Creation-based Thinking Processes

The basic way in which we have been taught to think
needs to be turned upside down. The Holistic model – not separating our
thoughts and feelings from our bodies – needs to become the norm. ‘There is no
state of mind that isn’t mimicked by the immune system. We are much more like
flickering flames than hunks of meat’ says Candace Pert. We need to find ways
of release rather than escapism. We need to be careful of the language we use
as this is a great indicator of our internal state of mind and can create
self-fulfilling prophesies. In fact creation is an important part of the way
that our thinking must change. More and more research is emerging that shows
that we create what we have in life; that it isn’t just chance. Our sense of
fear and paranoia needs to be replaced by what Paul McKenna calls ‘pronoia.’ In
other words, ‘just because you think that people are out to help you, doesn’t mean they’re
not!’  Our thought processes and
attitudes need to come from a place of love not hate in order to find positive
solutions to problems rather than negative blockages.

b) Stronger Self Awareness

As individuals we need to take personal responsibility
and that what we do affects others. Personal responsibility and mutual respect
are the ways forward. Gaining awareness of the Authentic self becomes important since it is imperative
that we each fulfill what our own values dictate that we should do with our
lives. (‘The snow goose need not bathe to make itself white. Neither need
you do anything but be yourself.’ Lao Tse).  There is room
in this world for each individual to do what is important for them; we just
haven’t lived that way up until now. Listening to own self and our own
intuition brings about contentment and a growing awareness of the deeper soul

c) A Closer Society

When enough people make this major change to their
thinking and self-awareness, it reaches a critical mass – a tipping point –
which can then change the collective consciousness. A ‘starts-with-me attitude’
means that each person can feel like a unique and authentic individual whilst
still being supported within the community. It then becomes possible to let go
of rules and laws as the individual takes their own responsibility. There
aren’t actually any rules to life; we just pretend there are! There are only
Natural Laws and we already know those! Many people are afraid to make these
changes but the irony is that if we start to make these changes everyone would
feel better. This is not about anarchy but liberation.

The most common mistake that people make is that they
live in hope that things will change and they wait for someone else to do it
for them! The time is right NOW for us to all contribute individually to the paradigm
change that is necessary to achieve that critical mass thinking. The question
is not- can you afford to do it; the question is – can you afford not to? Are
you one of the few people who at this stage in Man’s development recognise that
action must be taken? Are you already sufficiently developed in your thinking
to see that the old ways haven’t worked and that a new way now needs to be put
into place? And finally – are you one of the brave few who are willing to be
one of the founding architects of this new process?

I am the founder of Step by Step Listening and we started as a company that eradicated fear of failure and guilt for mums, we coached mums and daughters, we then worked with sole trader and small business owners and over the years we developed a unique ability to help people create the family or business they desire by being able to tap into the resource of being able to sell ideas/prodcuts/visions/services in a way that feels right and gets results. For some they are learning to sell and idea to themselves perhaps a dream or an ambition they have had for years, for others it could be selling responsibility and independence to a teenager or perhaps selling a vision or a change of structure to a team. What ever it is we use unique a unique facilitation and group process to help you discover when you are selling in a way that feels right that's like what?
